Contemporary works of paper by Marit Berg, Kevin Fletcher, Michèle Landsaat, Stephen McMillan, Charles Spitzack. Marit Berg is a San Diego native who uses an expressive-realist style in her art and frequently features animals, the land, and the human form, expressing her interest in the delicate balance of life within the natural world. Kevin Fletcher resides in Santa Rosa, California where he has developed unique imagery informed by architectural and industrial spaces photographed in his travels through a monotype medium. Michèle Landsaat is a Seattle based writer and illustrator whose work explores the symbolic world hidden beneath the surface of visual perception, giving her work a vulnerable, whimsical, and charming aura. Stephen McMillan is a Berkley based printmaker whose works are heavily inspired and sustained by the natural world, particularly landscapes of California and Washington. Charles Spitzack resides in Seattle and focuses on dissolving barriers in commitment to the communal whole; he has found printmaking to be an excellent way to express these ideas both in subject matter and process.
