Sense of Place Revisited

Hours

Fri / 11a-4p

Lisa JonesMoore and Lynn Hanson have shown together before in the exhibits "Sense of Place" and “Reprise”. In the years since, their sense of place has changed and the theme has taken on new meaning. Exhibit open through March 30. Lisa’s creative processes bring together different mediums including pigmented encaustic waxes, oil pastels, and artist inks. Her images reflect her love of Latino folk art, Mexican culture, and landscapes. Her works are part of private collections from the Pacific Northwest to the East Coast. She currently resides in San Miguel del Allende, Mexico. A graduate of the San Francisco Art Institute, Lynn works with different mediums, from acrylic, encaustic, and mixed media, to her newest love, wax and oil. She delights in discovering what treasures appear when she scribes through the different layers of the wax. Images from her time in Denmark and Mexico appear in many of her pieces. Her paintings have been displayed from the West Coast to Denmark and Oxford England. Located in the heart of Pioneer Square, Lynn Hanson Gallery is a contemporary art gallery – a welcoming space full of approachable art. Open First Thursdays from 5 to 8:30 pm, and Friday-Saturdays from 11 am to 4 pm.
