Exposure Therapy

Grace Athena Flott, aged 32, is an emerging figurative painter from Spokane, WA. She is a graduate of the Juliette Aristides Atelier at the Gage Academy and the UW, and has achieved a mastery of her craft deserving of her first solo exhibition at the Figure Ground Art Gallery in Pioneer Square. In her show Exposure Therapy, Flott, who has scarring from fire-related injuries, has chosen to beautifully paint figurative works of other victims as a reflection on the voyeuristic experience. “Grace Flott adds survivors of trauma to the canon of beauty.
