Exhibit runs June 6 - July 13, 2019 Psychic Landscapes will feature vivid habitats with richly layered textures and fine details. Betsy Walton’s imagery is inspired by microscopic natural phenomena, motherhood, the weather, mindfulness practice, and fine art printmaking techniques. The paintings combine organic forms, symbolic elements and the human figure to describe transient states of being. Her work has been shown in several US cities and internationally. Her paintings and drawings have been featured in books and magazines published by die Gestalten, Princeton Architectural Press, and Chronicle Books, among others. Betsy has created surface designs and illustrations for Target, Urban Outfitters, Poketo, and Keds. Betsy lives in Portland, Oregon.
