Shibori + Indigo Workshop An introduction to Bound Reist and Vat Dye

Instructor: Jodi Waltier June 17, 18 and 19, 10:00-3:30 each day Limit 8 students $275.00 ($100.00 deposit to hold your spot, non-refundable) $25.00 lab fee There is an intrinsic magic associated with the indigo vat and the unknown patterns and shades of blue on which we will focus during this 3-day intensive course. One needs only to be a willing, hands-on participant to be able to walk away with a notebook full of techniques and a head full of possibilities! Day One covers the basics of folding & clamping, bound resist, setting up the indigo vat, and some stitch techniques. Day Two reviews and then moves onto bound resists with objects, pole wrapping (arashi shibori), and bundling.
