SELF "IMPROV"-MENT: A GOOFY, FUN IMPROV WORKSHOP

If you need an oomph, let’s improvise! Even a short practice of improv will make you more creative, present and self-improved. This improv class for all levels, will be full of exercises that will get you out of your head and rouse your best instincts. In a totally chill approach to improv, these workshops will be taught through a social-impact framework welcoming people of all abilities, ethnicities and genders. Foundation, in partnership with the hilarious Lee Nacozy and the Pioneer Collective, will host this class every 2nd Tuesday, with each having it's own theme that all the exercises will revolve around. January's theme is "Affirm: Stop getting in your own way!!"

The workshop facilitator, Lee Nacozy, is an impassioned improviser who conceived "Improv for Writers" at Unexpected Productions, Seattle's oldest improv company, and "Self Improv-ment" at the groundbreaking Pocket Theater. She now takes improv out of theaters and all over and has taught at conferences, schools, camps and therapy centers. Lee has worked as a writer for eleven years in journalism, criminal justice and comedy. She performed sketch and stand-up at Bumbershoot, New York’s Cinder Block Festival, the Folklife Festival's Seasoned Storytellers show and the Vancouver International Women in Film Festival where she was in an awarded documentary about progressive comedy.
