Anna Macrae continues to explore abstracted landscapes, whilst playing with perfectly awkward marks. A network of grids, organic shapes and lines are built up over a textural surface, during a process of layering and editing. The rawness of the brush strokes, smudged ink lines and naive scribbles maintains the freshness of otherwise potentially overworked information.
