Years ago, Adam Knox’s attempts to shield patients from a brutal miltia in Central Africa ended in disaster and left him a pariah. Now he operates a clinic in LA’s skid row and makes ends meet by discreet house calls to the famous and criminal who must stay out of the public eye. One day he realizes someone has abandoned a young boy in his clinic. His attempts to find the family riles the wrong people, people who decide Dr. Knox must go.
