22-year old Army vet Atticus Turner heads off on a strange journey. His father is missing. Clues point to an estate once owned by his great-grandmother. With him on this trip are his Uncle George – devotee of pulps jammed with strange stories – and his childhood friend, Letitia. Just as strange are the events and people they encounter – a trio of Negroes traveling from Chicago, through white, Wonderbread America in 1954, to Maine, to where the answers lie. Once there, it gets weirder.
