These powerful images are taken from the complete portfolio of ten etchings created by Spanish artist Juan Genovés in 1970. They are a response to the Spanish Civil War 1936-1939 under the dictator Francisco Franco. It is sad to see that so little has changed in 200 years. Together these exhibitions address political protest and serve as vehicles to raise awareness and to inspire the social change that so far has remained elusive.
