Minnie + George DIY Leather Cutout Clutch Workshop
Our favorite Portland leather goods designer, Lori Caldwell of Minnie + George returns for a weekend of workshops! Come join designer & founder of Minnie + George, L.A. Caldwell, as she provides guided and hands-on instruction on how to make your own leather clutch bag using traditional leather-working techniques.
In this 3.5 hr class, you'll learn: How to cut and prep leather to sew. How to use the basic tools needed to practice traditional leather-working. How to saddle-stitch. How to apply protective finishes. All needed supplies and leather are provided for the class. In addition to a completed bag at the end of class, students will receive an instruction manual with full dimensions of bag, step-by-step how-to guide, leather-working tips and information on resources.
This is a great class for total beginners as well as intermediate level students looking to hone their leathercraft skills. Makes a great gift for the holidays! Students need to specify if they would like a black or natural veg tanned clutch.
