TETHER HOSTS GOAT PETTING ZOO IN PIONEER SQUARE Seattle, WA // 07.31.19 – On Friday, August 23rd, from 11am to 2pm, Tether will be hosting a goat petting zoo in Pioneer Square (our neighborhood). Tether is a Seattle headquartered multidisciplinary creative agency, using our powers for good to help our friends at WE raise communities out of poverty, one goat at a time, through a sustainable growth model. Why goats? One goat can make a huge difference in a community by providing additional nutrition and income. Goats are amazing creatures—they can survive in difficult conditions, aren’t picky eaters, and can produce enough milk to supplement student meals or be sold to help pay for school improvements. They can also breed and grow into a herd. Lend hope! Give a goat! Join us for our ridiculously adorable petting zoo in the park and help us send goats to those in need. WE is an incredible organization that Tether has a longstanding and a special partnership with. WE is a family of organizations that make doing good, doable. WE is made up of WE Charity, empowering domestic and international change, ME to WE, a social enterprise that creates socially conscious products and experiences to help support the charity, and WE Day, filling stadiums around the world with the greatest celebration of social good. WE Charity was founded in 1995 by then 12-year-old Craig Kielburger with a mission to fight child labor. WE has since grown and evolved to address the root cause of child labor—extreme poverty. In the past 24 years, WE’s programs have empowered over one million people with clean water, built 1,500 schools and schoolrooms overseas, and empowered more than 200,000 children with access to education.
