UP COMING SHOW IN MAY AT STUDIO 103 “GREETINGS FROM THE SKAGIT” May 2- June1 Kathleen Faulkner is a jewelry artist and painter living and working in Anacortes, WA. She is a Seattle native whose formal training was at Cornish College of the Arts. She presents oil pastels inspired by the beauty of the region. Faulkner has exhibited widely across the Northwest. Her artwork is included in numerous public and private collections including Museum of Northwest Art, Anacortes Arts Festival Permanent Collection, Anacortes School District, City of Anacortes, Island Hospital, General Hospital and Western Washington University. 'I am interested in light and form using simple, organic subject matter. Oil pastel is my medium of choice. My work is an attempt to convey a small glimpse of the beauty and majesty of our little corner of the world.' She is represented by Smith Vallee Gallery in Edison, WA. MAY 2 - FIRST THURSDAY ART WALK, 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. Free parking across the street after 5:00 p.m. MAY 11 - SECOND SATURDAYS OPEN STUDIOS, noon - 5:00 p.m. Come and participate in conversation with our artists and tell us your opinions.
