We invite you to familiarize yourself with our wonderful organization and gallery named HeART of the Spectrum, highlighting persons on the Autistic Spectrum. This inclusive art center was founded by Michael Tolleson and Jack Anderson in the spring of 2011, with the hope to further the artistic abilities of individuals with Autism and Aspergers. Enlisting the help and abilities of artists, teachers with experience teaching art to the autistic spectrum, and a group of big-hearted helpers, their HeART of the Spectrum Mentoring Art Program was born. The gallery offers a variety of classes geared toward specific interests and abilities. Each class is ninety minutes long and meets once a week.

In addition to the Mentoring Art Program, HeART of the Spectrum also has a unique gallery that features established, published and emerging artwork by individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Artists of all ages and styles have contributed their work, and over 50 pieces now hang in the ground floor storefront.

As a new gallery, we look forward to building strong relationships with other autistic groups and organizations in Washington State. We have already gained support from a number of community organizations and members, and would like to invite you to become involved as well. If you would like to learn more about HeART of the Spectrum and the different programs we offer, please contact us by calling (206) 478-8342. Thank you for your interest and we look forward to meeting you soon!
