Her second Hercule Poirot novel! We find Insp. Catchpoole and Poirot reunited when both are invited to an author’s home for a long weekend. Catchpoole is unsure why they are there, as they’ve never met the author before, but Poirot has a few ideas…Which prove to be rather good when the hostess announces (as she is a woman of some means) that she’s changing her will to a singular benifitiary – her mortally ill secretary. With in hours he is dead and there is a whole house full of suspects which Catchpoole and Poirot must sift through in order to discover who really did the deed.
