Come out to the OK Gallery in Pioneer Square Seattle for another First Thursday Art Walk and be a part of this special kick-start event for Herbs & Prosper cold pressed juices! Angela Prosper, (owner of Herbs & Prosper) will be showing her latest encaustic photography work as well as offering up samples and information about Herbs & Prosper, launching in Spring/Summer of this year.
Angela Prosper Photography & Encaustics: Angela is a working photographer and encaustic artist. Her work has been showcased at the Photographic Center Northwest, Addison Gallery, OK Hotel, Retrofit Home and featured during a lecture at the Seattle Art Museum. For those who are not familiar with encaustic art, it is a process of melting and painting with wax to create almost etherial imagery and texture. Angela will have many encaustic pieces for sale as well as some limited edition 3D prints from her archives. Angela will also be taking orders for custom work and commissions. Artwork will be priced to sell on the spot (accepting credit or cash) and the proceeds will go directly to purchasing essential items for Herbs & Prosper.
About Herbs & Prosper: After attending a small business class with Ventures Nonprofit in 2015 (a nonprofit organization that "empowers individuals with limited resources and unlimited potential to improve their lives through small business ownership"), Angela found her confidence to move forward with her passion for healthy food and her cold pressed juices became an overwhelming hit with the class and staff of Ventures. To "prosper" not only means success in material wealth, it also means to flourish physically; to grow strong and be healthy. Angela is starting Herbs & Prosper cold pressed, organic juices, shrubs and tonics with this mindset and this will be a great chance to see what all the fuss is about. If you haven't tried Herbs & Prosper juices or any cold pressed juices before, this will be a great opportunity to try some samples and ask some questions.
Samples are FREE and any money raised from donation and artwork sales will go to purchasing a new industrial juicer for the business. We hope you can join us!
