Opening Reception: Proposed Land Use Action

Opening Reception: Proposed Land Use Action by Elisheva Cieslewitz

Please join us for the opening of "Proposed Land Use Action" by Elisheva Cieslewitz at the A Gallery on Thursday, January 4th, 2018, during Pioneer Square Seattle's First Thursday Art Walk.

Elisheva draws inspiration from both the vibrancy of people and the quiet parks and natural places that become sanctuaries away from the noise of city life. With this exhibit, she seeks to pay homage to her first house in Seattle, one of 12 houses on the north side of NE 66th Street slated for demolition. This show reflects upon the merit and loss inherent in the disappearance of the single-family house in Seattle. Each print will act as a portrait of a house on this block as it stood in its last few months.
