Join Path with Art for a poetry reading and community celebration to commemorate the final installments of our We Are All Here banners in Occidental Square. Our students and the community at large have combined their voices around the theme We Are All Here and a poetry jury has helped to select the poems translated into visual art.
Come out to hear some of the poems that were inspired by the understanding that all residents should play a crucial role in shaping the ongoing evolution of Seattle. The beautifully painted banners that resulted from the selected poems are currently on display in Occidental Square and will be through September 16th.
Path with Art, an arts and social justice non-profit located in Pioneer Square, is dedicated to providing access to the arts to adults in recovery from homelessness, addiction, and trauma. In addition to providing free, year-round, studio art workshops and opportunities for participants to attend arts and cultural events, Path with Art project We Are All Here: The Poetry and Banner Project was launched with the intent of creating a path to bring together neighbors who aren’t typically in conversation with each other.
