HOW TO PARTICIPATE BOOTH FEES FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Is my Washington State Business License okay? NO. You must have a City of Seattle Business License. This is a green and white document with a 6-digit License number. May I still participate if I don't have a license? YES and NO. You may participate at 1 event if you take a license application or if you tell staff that you have already applied. To participate in future events, you must present a valid business license or proof of application. Does it cost anything to sell my art? YES. Booth Fees are $10 for an 8’x6’ table/ground space or $20 for a 10’x10' tent/canopy space. Because the events are held in a city park, 10% of sales must go to the Parks Department upon check-out. We'll give you a special envelope for this at registration. Where should I park? There are two pay-to-park lots adjacent to Occidental Park. They can be fairly pricey though. We recommend parking on the street if possible. There is a lot of street parking under the Alaskan Way Viaduct. Street parking is free in Seattle after 6:00 pm. Do not leave your car unattended in a pay-to-park lot without paying unless you have an affinity for tickets. Where should I unload my things? There is no load/unload zone adjacent to the park. You should park your vehicle and unload from your parking space. Vehicles are not allowed within Occidental Park. We're working on this. The load/unload situation should be improving in the near future. Check back here for details. Will I have access to electricity in Occidental Park? YES. May I deploy my booth wherever I please? NO. Please do not set up in Fire Fighters Memorial. Ask event manager for set up guidelines. Do I have to be nice and respectful to other artists? YES. As the hours go by and space gets tighter, respect for neighboring artists becomes more important. Burning of incense, playing of amplified music, taking up excessive space, etc. should be avoided upon request from neighboring artists and/or event staff. Thank you. May I share a booth with someone else? YES. Up to 2 artists may share a booth space. Each artist must sell their own original artwork and must have a valid City of Seattle Business License. Are buskers or street performers allowed in the park? YES. Most unscheduled performance artists will be allowed to participate on a case-by-case basis given that they do not pose a safety threat to anyone in the park and they do not produce excessive sound or disruption to the event. Will I have access to a restroom? YES. Restrooms are located adjacent to Occidental Park in the Grand Central Arcade. You may need to get a key from one of the merchants to get in. Just tell them that you are a vendor at Art in the Park. Contact PSCA if you have further questions:
